Sak Yant Tour


Sak Yant in Thai language, actual calling is Yantra Tattooing. Sak Yant originated from ancient Southeast Asia. Mainly tattoo geometrical, animal and deity designs that offer power, protection, fortune, charisma and other benefits. The traditional way of Sak Yant is using a long metal rod sharpened to a point as we called it Khem Sak in Thai language. Prayer believed Sak Yant bring magic and bestow mystical powers, protect and good luck. Some will making them more eloquent and gives them more protection also ward off evil and dangerous. Prayers may need to observers certain rules and taboos, also abstaining certain type of food.

What types of design shall we tattoo if it is our first time? 

Most common, Ajarn would suggest that you shall tattoo

Kao-yot (nine spires) - typically tattooed on the center top of the back in various sizes and levels of complexity.
Ha-thaeo (five rows) - Typically tattooed on the back left shoulder. Each of the five lines relates to a different blessing for success and good luck.
Paet-thit (eight points) - represents protection in the eight directions of the universe. Round shape; typically tattooed on the center of the back.
Bpanjamukhee (five Deva faces) - intended to ward off illness and danger.
Suea (tiger) - typically depicts twin tigers. Represents power and authority.
